"Damage" is a collaborative EP by Elliot Reed and Yume Nikki. Born out of a one-off live show that found two-piece Doomgaze band Yume Nikki serving as Elliot's backing band, the combination was so compelling that the group found itself in the studio days later, frantically trying to commit the performance to tape before Elliot boarded a bus and relocated to Chicago.

Intensifying the noise and punk tendencies already present in Reed's last album, Anxiety Magic, 'Damage" re-maps the same songs from electronic instruments to intensely processed guitar and pounding drums. The combination ends up sounding like futuristic punk rock; a brutalist yet melodic take on raw aggression that alternately plows like a steamroller and drifts like a rancid breeze - all without losing the endless groove that powers the original record.

Even if it never happens again, we are proud to present this bizarrely beautiful collaboration to you, dear listener, and hope that it moves you as much as it moved us.
