Breather is the second full-length from Minneapolis-based Cosmic Sludgepop purveyors NALLO.

The album represents a huge step forward for Nallo, jettisoning most of the lo-fi garage-rock signifiers that powered their previous recordings and exploring the outer reaches of their sound; combining strains of country, power-pop, old-time, garage, post-rock and slowcore into something that only sounds like them.

Traversing a rich, Americana-tinged landscape of giddy pop highs and emotionally desolate lows, Breather is a disturbingly well-notated map of the weird world that these four men have created; a place that encompasses 9-minute, two-part country epics, ("Shandy," "Stranger") two-minute pop songs, ("Breather," "Poor White Chic") and two-world spanning "sludgepop" songs that tidily sum up the whole affair ("Isla Vista," "Dirty Spring").

The culmination of a year's worth of writing and recording, Breather is a lovingly crafted missive from another world that's ready to invade yours and make it better. If you give it a chance, we promise it will.
