about

"Imaginary Kin" is the solo debut of CABO (aka Caleb Pease of Bouncer Fighter).

This album came about after I approached Caleb about re-issuing the Bouncer Fighter albums... I hadn't seen or heard from Caleb in over two years, but he had been far from inactive, crafting lo-fi masterpieces on a four track tape machine.

This EP comprises those acid-damaged instrumentals with freshly recorded vocals and a bit of mixing/mastering magic by yours truly at Ecstattic Studio. The resulting album is a melange of sample-based electronic music, murder ballads and story songs in the American folk tradition and brutally honest gospel confessionals. I promise you haven't heard anything like it.
